This paper proposes three policies we can consider with unconstrained additional orders: (i) a policy in which additional orders are placed if the stock level is negative at the fixed investigative time; (ii) a policy without additional orders; (iii) a policy in which additional orders are always placed at the investigative time. We will refer to the optimality in each of these policies and clarify the order among the optimal quantities related to initial orderings and additional ones.
