In this paper we study the $\alpha $-separation of sets, 
$\alpha $ -semicontinuity properties between topological 
spaces, $\alpha $ -semiconnected sets and $\alpha $-locally 
semiconnected sets and prove some properties related to 
these topics. Also we study some forms of continuity$.$
