The purpose of this paper is to prove 
a common fixed point theorem, from the 
class of compatible continuous mappings 
to a larger class of mappings having 
noncompatible and discontinuous mappings 
which generalizes the result of G. Jungck, 
B. Fisher, S.M. Kang and Y.P. Kim, 
Jachymski, Rhoades and Pant.
