We point out that the Gramian transformation formula gives us

a natural and simple view to some known results, e.g. the

translation-invariance of variance of operators, Hadamard

theorem and inequalities on Gramian.  Moreover we pick up a 

norm equality which is the essence of a norm inequality closely

related to the Bernstein inequality.
