The object of the present paper is to derive several interesting properties of the class $R(\alpha,\beta,n)$ consisting of analytic and univalent functions with negative coefficients. Coefficient inequalities, distortion theorems and closure theorems of functions in the class $R(\alpha,\beta,n)$ are determined. Also radii of starlikeness and convexity are determined. We also obtain several interesting results for the modified Hadamard product of functions belonging to the class $R(\alpha,\beta,n)$.
