In this note we present the best bounds for  {\bf ReAB} where
{\bf A} and {\bf B} are bounded linear operators on a Hilbert space
satisfying $\parallel {\bold A}-a\parallel \leq c$ and $\parallel {\bold B}-
b\parallel\leq d$ for nonzero real numbers $a, b, c$ and $d.$
