In this paper, we characterize prime and
semiprime ideals in a subtraction semigroup. Among them for any
subtraction semigroup, an ideal is semiprime if and only if it is
intersection of all prime ideals containing it. Moreover, if an
ideal of a subtraction semigroup is prime, then it is semiprime
and strongly irreducible.
