Our purpose is to show two strong convergence theorems for nonexpansive nonself-mappings in a Hilbert space; these are generalizations of Wittmann's result\cite{Wittmann}, and are proved without any boundary conditions. For this purpose, a boundary condition, called {\it nowhere normal-outward} condition, is investigated and characterized.
