Election: President
As the seat of President Elect is now vacant, we hereby accept candidates for President. The election is scheduled as follows:
(1) The candidates should send the following documents to the ISMS office by April 30, 2009.
    (a) Letters of recommendation from at least two ISMS members.
    (b) A brief personal resume
    (c) Research history (If the candidate has won prizes, specify the names of the prizes, the dates and the organizations awarding the prize.)
    (d) Administrative policies
(2) The above (a) - (d) of each candidate shall be announced in the May 2009 issue of the “Notices from the ISMS” and the election shall begin on the web or by e-mail. The poll closing shall be June 15, 2009.
(3) The result shall be announced in the July 2009 issue of the “Notices from the ISMS”.
    The term of office shall begin on July 1, 2009 and end on December 31, 2010.
